Why Hunts Point is ground zero for any independent trucker NYC boycott
I gathered some information from a Monfort Lane trucker about NYC boycott chatter.
If you haven’t heard of the growing potential for truckers looking to boycott deliveries to the communist-controlled utopia of New York City, it’s apparently growing:
Truck drivers transport between 70% to 73% of all freight in the United States. Therefore, when truckers begin discussing plans on social media to boycott loads to progressive hellhole New York City, it's important to pay attention.
X user Chicago1Ray, who appears to be a Midwest truck driver, shared a video late Friday night detailing that a number of truck drivers will begin denying loads to NYC on Monday.
"I don't know how far across the country this is - or how many truckers are going start denying loads to NYC - but I'll tell you - you f**k around and find out," Chicago1Ray said.
He continued: "We're tired of motherf**king leftist f**king with Trump. Okay ... Motherfu**ers start to get tired of this shit. Our bosses aren't going to care if we deny loads. We'll go somewhere else."
"You know how hard it is to get in and out of NYC?" the trucker emphasized.
Chicago Ray deleted his tweet, understandably because it went absolutely viral (supporting data in the article) and he didn’t want to be pegged as leading a movement. He was repeating the growing chatter he’s been hearing from truckers.
With all of this fluid, I talked with my friend Bronx, a Monfort Lane trucker. He said truckers will know what that a means, which apparently means he was driving trucks when I was still wearing Superman underoos and playing with my Star Wars figures.
Over the years I’ve known him, Bronx has been Nostradamus with any trucking-related current events, so his perspective carries great weight with me.
He’s skeptical about this reaching any scale to make an impact. To summarize his main points to me:
there’s more leftists truckers than there’s ever been; it’s not a unified MAGA-dominated industry
throughout history, truckers have never been able to come together to unite on anything with significant impact. He references the American trucker strike shutting down the border, and the Seattle trucker strike as examples. The Colorado boycott back in 2021 was really the legal industry going bananas and forcing the overturning of that 100 year sentencing of the driver than the threat of a trucker boycott.
he mentions the electronic payment systems we’ve all become slaves to, and was my initial concern before speaking with him (that’s how the commies stopped the Canadian truckers). He said truckers couldn’t work without credit cards, and if the commies hit them there (which they do to everyday citizens), then it’s sad times.
He thought this has potential for legs if Trump were to push it, but he brings up an important point on logistics. I’ll copy/past his message to me here on this:
Remember this DC the huge trucking companies like JB hunt have drop yards all over New Jersey so their daycab drivers deliver these loads to NYC....the only real place the independent driver goes to is Hunts Point in the Bronx. This is all produce stuff....the dry vans get staged in NJ, dropped and delivered by daycab local drivers.
Now, if the independent truckers boycotted Hunts Point, then pay very close attention.
I asked him if Hunts Point is the heart of the dragon:
IMO...yes. Hunts Point gets shut down, NYC gets shut down
He educated me a little more on Hunts Point (from the website link):
The Hunts Point Cooperative Market Inc. is a cooperative owned by its member stockholders. The company operates and maintains a facility under a long-term lease with the City of New York in the Hunts Point section of the Bronx for its member shareholders and other tenants, all of which are primarily involved in the process and distribution of meat and meat products in the tri-state area. The facility is the largest of its kind in the world and is the major distribution hub for the New York City metro area. All of the meat plants are USDA inspected facilities. Customers of the market consist of all of the large chain store supermarkets, most of the tri-state areas top restaurants, hotels, and country clubs, as well as large and mom and pop butcher shops up and down the East Coast.
Well, allrighty then.
I asked him if a good number of truckers boycott — not the majority — would it have an impact. He said:
It will cripple NYC meat & produce. It all comes from Hunts Point period. IMO...it will get the attention you want in a boycott. Remember this DC it's all refrigerator stuff and can't sit on a yard like dry van products. So they can drop and hook for another day.
This is where the trucking industry needs to focus on if a NYC boycott would to take place
Regarding the shelf life of the products, I love the quote from the guy in the video in that link: “You either sell it or smell it.”
Will this affect the politicians or communists controlling the state and city government? No. They’re in an ivory tower, and are the ones forcing them to be at risk to the fruits of diversity from an illegal invasion. They can always helicopter in their steaks, or vacate the city if the peasants start breaching the walls.
It will get a lot of attention, however, and at least those of us in rural American can watch the real life Hunger Games take place on the island of New York City streamed via X or YouTube. Once they collapse the bridges and trap everyone on the island, you better live high up and have access to a helicopter. Otherwise, you’re food.
Watch the first few seasons of the “The Walking Dead” for a preview.
Ultimately, the communists control the financial sector and the DOJ, so the truckers need to be smart about this. Remember how the communists in Canada stifled the trucker movement in 2022. This would be a little different, as truckers just refuse orders versus the blockades by the Freedom Convoy in Canada, but NYC is already a hot mess.
I imagine the unions won’t be too happy with a boycott, and pressure on the communist courts and government officials would be immense. The good news for NYC, if there is indeed an effective boycott, there’s a massive supply of rat meat to keep you alive.
Keep an eye on Hunters Point.
Nice article DC. If you’re talking about Bronx from the CPF, I agree with you. He knows his stuff and he’s right most of the time. I have to admit reading that post took some of the wind out of my sails, I was hoping to see NYC become a ruinous heap
